Arnold Coates Obituary

COATES Arnold L. "Bud" Arnold L. "Bud" Coates, 50, of Toledo passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Kim; daughter, Amber; son, Erik; sister, Cathy (Bill) Shuff; and brother, Don (Brenda) Coates. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Pauline Coates and brother, Ronald Coates. Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., on Thursday, October 1, 2009, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the family. www.walterfuneralhome.com

I knew Bud from working with him on the Kroger negotiating committee and from talking to him in the Kroger meat department. Bud was a good man, always cheerful and concerned for his fellow workers. He will be surely missed. My codolences to his family and friends

I am so sorry to hear of Buddy's passing, My husband and I grew up with Buddy, went to school with him. we kept in touch through the years while he was at Kroger. I know his life was filled with pain, and I know he is now at peace. My prayers go out for his family, just remember death cannot steal your wonderful memories.

I haven't seen or heard from Bud for over 20 years, but was deeply saddened to hear of his passing today. We were great friends in our early teens, and I'm sure he was a great husband and father as well. He will be missed by many, I'm sure. God Bless! SANDY

I'm sending my condolonces to Bud's family & closest friends. I have worked with Bud off & on over the years at Kroger in the Meat Department. I was so sadden to hear of his passing. I will never known exactly what he was going through over the past year! I will miss him dearly! RIP Bud
