Barbara Irene Feeny

Barbara Irene Feeny passed away on March 9, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio, at the age of 93. She was born on July 15, 1931, in Lansing, Michigan, and built a life marked by dedication to both family and career.

Barbara earned an Associates degree from the University of Toledo at age 49 and obtained her Certification as a Record Manager at age 52. She worked as the Certified Records Manager at Owens Corning, a role that took her across the country as she testified regarding records in court trials. Her work required precision and expertise, and she carried out her responsibilities with diligence and professionalism.

Beyond her career, Barbara was a devoted mother to seven children. Balancing work and family was no small task, but she ensured that her home remained a place of love and warmth for all.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Feeny, Sr.; as well as her sons, Eric Feeny and Gregg Feeny. She is survived by her children, Ed Feeny, Jr., Shirleen Ross, Dann Feeny (Rachel), Gary Feeny (Robin) and Bryan Feeny (Linda). In addtion to these, she has 24 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

During her later years she was able to achieve an item from her bucket list… a ride in a hot air balloon at 90. Her legacy is one of resilience and devotion. Barbara's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Friends will be received at the Robert Shank, Sr. Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, Walbridge, 701 N. Main St., on Saturday March 22, 2025.
