Barbara A. "GG"



Barbara Ann Servais, age 84, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014, in her home. She was born in Toledo on June 3, 1930, to Wilbur F. and Helen A. (King) Plath. Barbara married Kenneth J. Servais on September 2, 1950, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Maumee. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Barbara was a sales associate for many years at JC Penney until her retirement. She was also employed as a seamstress at Bel-aire Cleaners in Perrysburg. Her memberships included St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg; Frogtown Low Vision Support Group and Red Hat Society, Barbara enjoyed her annual JC Penney retirement luncheon which she founded and coordinated for many years, Clara J's monthly Birthday club, fundraising for the annual Frogtown Christmas party, the beauty of the Maumee River and its wildlife and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughters, Onalee A. Servais, Susan M. (Tom) Servais-Carpenter, Angela M. (Jon) Yeary; grandchildren, Sherris, Kelsey, Jason, April, Stephanie, Megan, and 9 great-grandchildren. GG will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents and husband, Kenneth, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Judyth Rober, and brother, John "Jack" Plath.

Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Sunday, September 21, 2014, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a scripture service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Monday, September 22, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg.
