Bernard Kreinbrink Obituary

KREINBRINK Bernard H. "Bernie" Bernard H. "Bernie" Kreinbrink, of Findlay, died at 2:20 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008, at home surrounded by his family. Bernard was born on November 7, 1940, in Leipsic, Ohio, to the late Charles and Clara (Vennekotter) Kreinbrink. On October 2, 1965, he married Agnes "Aggie" Erhart in Kalida, Ohio and she survives in Findlay. Mr. Kreinbrink is also survived by his four children, Rodney Kreinbrink (Heather), of Leesburg, Georgia, Brian Kreinbrink (Tracy), of Findlay, Amy Jones (Brad), of Waterville, Mark Kreinbrink (Carrie), of McComb, and his 11 grandchildren, Jacob, Allison, Jenna, Alex, Jillian, Katelin, Madelin, Joshua, Anna, Caleb and Chloe. A sister, Doris (Bob) Williams, of Ottawa survives. He was preceded in death by three brothers Robert, Joseph, and Thomas, and a sister, Sr. Mary Julene Kreinbrink SND. Mr. Kreinbrink enjoyed spending time with his family, both in work and play. He enjoyed watching sport and school activities, vacationing, fishing, playing cards, driving the tractor, working around the house and impressing the importance of being with family. His wide smile, sense of humor and helping hand will live in the memories of friends and family. Mr. Kreinbrink worked for Findlay Electric Supply, and eventually retired from McNaughton-McKay Electric Company following 26 years of service in 2003. He was previously employed by the Whirlpool Corp. in Findlay. In addition, he was a lifelong farmer and worked part time in his retirement for Vorst Builders, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Findlay for 42 years. During which he was a Eucharistic minister and a past president of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Cemetery board and active in the Ministry of Praise. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 957, where he served a variety of positions that included being Grand Knight and District Deputy. He also served many years on the Building Association, which included several terms as its president. He was a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Pope Leo Council XIII, and was a Past Faithful Navigator. He was also a member of the Amvets post 57, in Leipsic Ohio, and the American Legion post 511 in McComb. Mr. Kreinbrink served in the Army National Guard from 1963 until he was honorably discharged in 1969. Visitation will held at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by the 4th Degree Chalice Presentation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 at St. Michael the Archangel Church (East) with Father Mike Hohenbrink presiding. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, where graveside rites will be conducted by the Hancock Veterans Memorial Squad. Memorial contributions may be made out to St. Michael's Completing our Vision Capital Campaign, 750 Bright Rd., Findlay, OH 45840 or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Dear Aggie and family,
My deepest sympathy over Bernie's death. It is a great loss to the parish and community as well as your family. May you draw strength and comfort from Jesus' Promise of Resurrection this lenten season helps prepare us for. I will continue to remember Bernie and all of you in prayer.

Hi Brian,

I will never forget how happy he was while coaching 3-B baseball in Bedford. He loved the game of baseball and he loved to coach, teach and made a lasting impression on alot of kids - including myself.
