Beverly Henderson Obituary

Beverly A. "Bev" Henderson, age 63, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2005, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born on April 7, 1942, to Harley and Flora Mae (Craig) Brandt in Temperance, Michigan. Bev worked at Jeep for 27 years, retiring in 2003. She was a longtime member of UAW, even after retiring. Bev enjoyed quilting, gardening, wood carving, cooking and stained glass. She was a very talented and well loved lady who will be missed by all. Bev enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Jean Martin and granddaughter, Madison Hope. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jim Henderson; children, James Henderson, Jr., Vince Henderson and Zandra (Christopher) Anthony; grandchildren, Miranda, James III, Camden Rae, Veronica, Baylee, Rebecca, Jacob and Keylin; sister, Mary (Richard) Long, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 23, 2005, from 3-8 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300), where a Funeral Service will take place on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to Bev's husband, Jim Henderson.

Dear Granny,

I miss you very much and I will always miss you forever. I love your flower garden and veggie garden. Granny do you remember when we were planting in the little yard were the dogs play, and we were planting tulips and you had to teach me how to put them in right and how much to dig up, that was fun. Another thing is when we were making carmel corn and we had to pour the carmel on it and had to mix it, that was fun also. I loved it when we would always play cards, you would always beat me.

Hey mama! Girl you rock my world, I'm going to miss Chris telling us we spend too much time on the phone together, talking about what, everything there was. And mama looking through all those pictures, you were wrong I look so much like you, and I get to carry that forever. My question is who do I turn to now? I'm so thankful you taught me all that you were able too. I wish so bad I would have just listened to you more often, you were my BESTFRIEND! Mama so many people loved you, you are so much to so many people. The footsteps you left, I don't know if I can ever fill them, but you know that I am going to try. Thank you for everything, Camden misses you so much she keeps asking for Granny but I'm sure that you are watching over her and all of us. Jimmy, Miranda, James and me are all keeping up on Daddy, God mama, he loves you so much. You too were so beautiful together. Don't forget to let us know you are there from time to time, wack me one in the nose or something. SMILES mama! You are the greatest person that anyone could have known, you left impressions on every one you met. I will always keep you close in my heart, and mama I really do want to be just like you! Remember you are BEAUTIFUL, and mama don't worry you really were loved, I'm sorry that you ever had to feel like that, I know you said you knew you had us, but mama there is so many people that loved you. I know you have to feel better now, and you're up there kicking back talking with Grandma, hope Maddy isn't pestering you too much, tell everyone that I love them and mama I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! Kisses. Granny you were the one person that I could always go to whenever I had something to talk about and knew that you would always be there for me. You did everything you could in your power to please and leave an impact on everyone you came across. I have learned many things from you that will always be with me, all the memories that we have shared will stay with me forever.
