Beverly "Bev" Newell passed away August 15, 2025, at Hospice Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 19, 1939, in Oregon, OH, to Lawrence and Dorothy Schacht. Bev was a 1958 graduate of Clay High School.

She met David Newell ice skating at Pearson Park and they married on December 1, 1958. They were married for 66 years.

Bev worked at Lamson Department Store, Centre Market and Meijer.

Bev loved her family very much. She also loved sewing, flowers and gardening. Bev enjoyed playing golf and tennis, the later which she won multiple trophies in. She enjoyed many trips to Upper Michigan and water vacations to Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel Island and Key West, FL.

She is survived by her husband, David Newell; children, Kelly Robon (Steve), Shelly Merritt, and Bob Newell (Sheryl); sister, Ruth Gloria (Hank); grandsons, Chad Newell and Josh Williams (Karis); great-grandchildren, Nathan and Andee; nieces, Gretchen Hollingsworth (Keith), and Melissa Knauss (Todd); nephews, Doug Dombrowsky (Kim), Jeff Dombrowsky (Kelly), and Chuck Schacht Jr.; and many cousins and friends. Bev was preceded in death by sons, Infant Newell and Brad Newell; brothers, Charles Schacht, and Larry Schact; grandchild, Seybert Williams III; nephew, Greg Dombrowsky; son-in-law, Doug Merritt; and brother-in-law, Ed Dombrowsky.

Bev was a member of the Riverview Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Health, staff at Orchard Villa and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

In accordance with Bev's wishes there will be no services.
