Billy L. Parker Sr., 77, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, surrounded by his family. Billy was born July 28, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to Milford and Nellie (Sherman) Parker. Mr. Parker was a veteran of the United States Marie Corps, serving during the Vietnam War. On July 11, 1970, he married Kathryn Draper. Billy worked over 30 years with the United States Postal Service as a heating & cooling technician and locksmith. He was a member of the Northwood VFW and a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers; wearing their team colors proudly. Billy treasured his yellow 1994 Ford Mustang and riding motorcycles with family. He loved a good barbeque, going to the theater to watch the latest movies on the big screen, and taking many memorable vacations with his wife and family.
Billy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy; sons, Billy L. (Amy) Parker Jr., and Bobby (Barbra) Parker; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; along with many loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) Friday, November 22, 2024, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Funeral services Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment: Restlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials: Wounded Warrior Project. Semper Fi.
