BINDER

Birdell "Bert" Leo



Bert Binder, 75, passed away on December 26, 2012, in Tucson, Arizona. He was born on May 15, 1937, in Fremont, Ohio to Leopold John and Kathryn Lucille Jaqua Binder. Bert was married to Marian Kay Nuhn on December 27, 1969.

A memorial service was held in Benson, Arizona at the Community Presbyterian Church. A celebration of life will be held in Ohio at a later date.

Bert is the father of Steven (Lagrimas) Binder of California, Diane Binder Holcombe of Idaho, and Jason Binder of Toledo, Ohio and grandfather of four grandchildren. He is survived by two brothers, Kenny (Jenny) Binder of Fremont, Ohio and Jerry (Dorothy) Binder, of Austin, Texas.

Bert attended school in Fremont and Old Fort having graduated from Jackson Burgoon. He received his BS degree in Engineering from Bowling Green State University. He served in the United States Air Force.

Employment includes Singer Corporation, Prestolite, Fostoria Industries, and Stylecrest.

He was past master of Brainard Lodge of The Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio. Bert was involved in the Fremont Community Theatre and currently president of Vacationland Sams Chapter of the Good Sam's Club. Bert was a member and past elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Fremont. Bert had many talents and enjoyed theatre, singing, rose gardening, woodworking, and antiquing.

Sad day ahh the memory of his singing for my shows at fct .......that first audition for do I hear a waltz and his rendition of my Favorite song from that show take the moment I still sayBRAVO bert and the first rehearsal wirh the f





I will always remember my first meet up with bert when he auditioned for do I hear a waltz what a nice voice and when he sang ny favorite song take the moment at end of act 1 and my goosebumps he gave me when he did it with the full orchestra what a delite.......he was a foid jokester and fun ti know my deepest sympathy to you marian and your family
