Carol Ann
Carol Ann Dimando passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice with her family by her side, following a long battle with cancer.
She was born on March 9, 1953, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Bob and Edna Ellis. The family later moved to Bryan, Ohio, where she grew up and graduated from Bryan High School. Carol graduated from nursing school and worked as an RN at Flower Hospital for 38 years, 18 of those years in surgery.
Carol had an infectious and beautiful smile that matched her warm personality. She was kind and gentle and was loved by all those she touched. She loved music and loved to dance. Her hobbies were bird watching and taking occasional gambling trips. She will be sorely missed but always remembered.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Liz St. John. She is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Christopher; stepson, Corey Beaubien, and sister, Judy Ellis.
Family and friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio on Monday, December 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio.

Carol & I were classmates from Flower Hospital & we became great friends. We worked together & made many memories together before & after we graduated. I am saddened by her death, but am so happy that I was fortunate enough to have known her. She was always so fun loving & full of life. My prayers are with you & the rest of your family at this time.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your wife and mom. I worked with Carol at Flower for many years. She always made me laugh. I remember times during a quiet cataract surgery when we would be shaking trying to keep our laughter in. I still have the angels she got me from the gift shop. And now she is one herself. Sharing her gift of humor with others. She certainly lived life! Know that you will see her again one day. Chris, she will always be watching over you.

I am so sorry for your loss! Carol & I were classmates from Bryan & roommates from Flower Nursing School. She was always a vibrant person, and I was blessed to share a lot of fun times with her from sunbathing on the roof of our dorm to taking a "quick" trip to Cincinnati to visit friends! Great memories were made & I will always cherish our friendship.
