Charles Bauman Obituary
Charles "Charley" Robert Bauman II, 64, died unexpectedly February 18, 2022, at his home in Longwood, FL.
Mr. Bauman was born May 21, 1957, in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Chalmer Bauman, who preceded him in death, and Marjory Bauman Dangler, who survives.
Mr. Bauman graduated from Napoleon High School in 1975 and attended Arizona State University. He later graduated from Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio, with an associate of arts degree in business.
Mr. Bauman worked in the automotive sales and freight hauling industries for more than three decades.
He owned CRB Logistics and CRB International in Toledo, Ohio. CRB Logistics was a contract freight hauling firm for Best Foods and other companies covering Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and neighboring states. At its peak, CRB Logistics had a fleet of 10 semi-tractor trailers and trucks driven by independent and company operators.
Prior to starting his business, Mr. Bauman worked as a salesman at Bi-State Ford in Toledo, and Angelo Ford in Napoleon and Montpelier, Ohio, where he also was manager of the dealership.
Mr. Bauman was an avid fan of Detroit sports teams, especially the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings.
In addition to his mother; Mr. Bauman is survived by a brother, Kevin (Moira) Bauman of Okaloosa Island, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Bradley Bauman.
Mr. Bauman was married to Katherine "Kathy" Shoop Bauman from 1987 to 2013, and she also survives.
Services for Mr. Bauman will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or a Humane Society of the donor's choice.

I knew Charley as a friend at the Maumee Chophouse. While I was a mere visitor, Charley owned the place. Charlie was sunshine on a cloudy day, inclement weather or not. Rest in peace, old friend.
