Charles "Chuck" J.
Charles "Chuck" J. Clauss, age 60, of Toledo, Ohio passed away March 14, 2014, at home with his loving family. He was born June 2, 1953, in Toledo to Walter and Donna (Newlove) Clauss. Chuck attended Bowsher High School and graduated in 1971. He was employed with the Eye Institute of Northwest Ohio for more than 35 years as an Ophthalmic Photographer. Chuck was past Commodore of the Western Lake Erie Sailing Club and a member of the Blue Gavel.
Chuck is survived by his best friend, Marci Alexander; faithful companion, "Harley"; brother, George (Kaylyn) Clauss; sisters, Beth (Terry) Wilkins and Sue (Tim) Niemiec; several nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Donna Clauss.
The family will receive guests, Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin Thursday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or First Alliance Church in Chuck's memory.

Beth and Family, I was so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. It seems not that long ago we all worked at BA, what fun we had. Over the years I often thought of you and Chuck and wondered how things were going. It seems strange to me that we never run into each other and we all live in the same area.
