Chico Vaughn has a huge impact on my life, along with life lessons and advice he also gave me the skills to take to the court. Chico spent long hours in any weather teaching me and many other up and coming basketball players the skills and knowledge of basketball he obtained. Even though he couldnt show us physically he was still very committed. Chico and I worked together since I was 5, and the things Chico taught me go way further than the court. We shared laughs, tears, yelling and screaming....

I LOVE YOU CHICO!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Chico's family. What a guy, a mentor and a friend. Chico really knew how to relate to the youth of today and not sacifice his integrity in any way. Thanks you Chico for all you brought to life. You will always be remembered in so many peoples hearts.

My heart is sad at the loss of my friend. I held his hand and prayed with him this past Tuesday. And I pray for the hearts of his family as well.
He had a major influence on my youth. He was my basketball mentor.
In fact, yesterday I journaled my memories with him, laughing through the tears. I will miss hearing him yell at me, his "white girl", when I call (because he thought I never called often enough). I will miss Chic until I am reunited with him again.

My condolences go out to the Vaughn family.I lived next door to Mr.Vaughn's family for many years at 1368 Goodale and got to know fairly well.I'm a jazz musician so we always had a lot to talk about since he loved jazz as much as I do.And whenever I would see him throughout the years, his face would light up when we talked about jazz music...it was always a pleasure.

I am so sorry and saddened to hear of his passing. I'll never forget all the help and support I received from him and his sons when I was playing basketball. I think all he ever wanted for the children he worked with was for them to do their best in life and believe in themselves. He was a really good man. I will always remember him.

My deepest sympathy to all of Chico's family. What a shock to hear of his passing today. My heart is broken. I did not know that he was ill. We usually spoke every few months and had not heard from him and was getting ready to call. Will so miss him. My deepest thanks to all he did for my son Joshua. He was such an inspiration to him and helped him so much with his basketball and with many other things . He will be in my prayers and in my heart forever. We loved you Chic and will miss you always.
