I am so saddened to hear of Chris' passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I remember the family's strength and positive attitude during his double lung transplant. I heard so many admirable comments about him over the years. He was my 2nd grade student but I never had the pleasure of teaching him. Lynn Rodegeb

Chris was a student of mine in American History. My open letter to him on my Facebook page reads in part…"..your long ordeal is over. Until we are all gathered together again in God's House. Peace,my friend". My heart is broken.

I am so sorry for your loss of a wonderful son. I remember him from when I coached Andrea in volleyball her Freshman year. He was only a few years beyond his lung transplant and was always smiling when he showed up for his sister's games. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate life without him. God bless you all.

Comstock Family-I am so sorry for your loss. Chris' name has come up countless times over the past 20 years. Kathy, you were my rock when Lauren too, was diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. You gave me so much hope through our long distance phone calls. After Lauren was released from the hospital, I remember Christopher ending up in Denver for a bit and leaving the hospital one evening for a spaghetti dinner at our house. I've thought of him so often. Know that you are in my prayers and Christopher is waiting for you in heaven.

I will always remember Chris and his family. I know how hard this is for you, but he is with God and the Bl. Virgen and all his friends and family who sent before him. I promise he and Rock and Kathy he will always be in prayers and Masses. He is at peace now after all he went through. I am always there on internet if you ever want to talk. He enjoys the Eternal
Vision that we long for. He will look down and be with you too. I thank the Lord for our meetings in Adrian, and all he has done. May God enjoy his presence and so will you at times.
God love you all and know you can always chat on line with me or phone. May he rest in peace and enjoy the Beatific Vision of the lord forever.
You'r ol pastor You are always welcome here.

I will always remember how much fun Chris always seemed to be having, whether he was going to Cedar Point or talking about the Tigers. He spent his 28 years being an inspiration to all of those around him. I wish everybody could enjoy each day of life and remain positive as he did!

I am glad that my path crossed with Christopher's while he was at the Cleveland Clinic. His beautifully written obituary is so very true, and is exactly how I will remember him. I have been thinking about him as the Indians are currently losing a 4 game series to the Tigers, it is something that we would have talked about!

My deepest prayers and sympathy go out to Mrs. Kathy and the entire Comstock family. I met Mrs. Kathy during a time in my life, when my son Brandon and I both needed someone who genuinely cared about the well-being of children with disabilities. She made a tremendous difference in Brandon's life and helped me in countless ways. Although I never a had the chance to meet Chris personally I feel like I knew him through long conversations with Mrs. Kathy. GOD makes no mistakes he has called one of his angels home and I am confident that each and everyone of you will see Chris again.

Rock,Kathy &Family,we'll always remember chris and have referred to him many times over the years. Many of the donors we solicited from Defiance when he had his surgery have asked me how he was doing from time to time. I could always answer positively extolling his successes in college etc. We'll never forget the time in Denver when we were able to get him out of the hospital for a few hours to have a spaghetti dinner at our Son's house. Chris raved about the dinner. May he rest in peace. Jack & Joanne Borrell

My heart is heavy to hear of Chris passing away. I did not know him personally but my father Dennis Cox did. Back when Chris had his Telethon my father tried everything to get him what he needed. I learned how to fight from your son indirectly. So sad now both are lost to cancer and are in heaven together. Thoughts and prayers are with you're family during this very difficult time.

I remember very well the journey that Chris' life had to take dating back to first grade. His health struggles did so much in creating a bond within the community and rallying in his support! Devastating to know his journey is now complete, but the legacy of his life will live in our hearts forever. I am forever impacted by his zest for life, his commitment to his friends and family and his strength in his fight to overcome! R.I.P. Chris! Go Tigers! Go Red Wings! Go Blue!
