I called Clyde my friend, my fellow football player and my greatest mentor. He always had words of wisdom. We grew up one street apart and shared great memories in high school. They tried to make me a fullback and I was supposed to run ahead of Clyde and his brother and block. But they were way too fast . I loved Clyde as a brother.

I was sad to learn of Clyde's passing and wish to express my sincere condolences to the Tisdale family. I had the pleasure of working with Clyde at the court. He was passionate about his probation work and those he assisted, both clients and staff. When he would say, "I can take care of this," he would. He was a person you could rely upon to do the best and right thing. I hope your loving memories bring you comfort.

My memories will always be fond of my Uncle Clyde. We can rejoice in your home going because we know that you knew the Lord through the fruits that you displayed with your VERY BEING; every day of your life. That's just who you are. We will miss you though, but we know we will see you again. With time, prayer, and reconciliation the grief that we as a family are experiencing will lessen, but your presence is irreplaceable and your memory will live on.

To Penny and T.I., I have many fond memories of your dad, mom and Pappy. I remember when both you, Alan and I would play together with your father looking out the window or coming outside from time to time just to make sure we were O.K. He was certainly a lot of fun. I remember that your mom would keep me after school when I was in first grade. One day, a foxy woman was walking down Searles and your father looked out of the window and said, "Ooo, look at that chick!" Your mom said, "Oh Clyde." At six years old, I did not know what a "chick" was, but now I look back and laugh. Your father really loved your mom. During my after school times at your house, I remember days when your father would take your mom into his arms and dance her around the living room, with no music. What great memories! Your dad was remarkable! I will keep you in my prayers!

I remember Mr Tisdale as my day camp instructor at the Indiana "Y" and my probation officer as a juvenile hardhead. His concern was to always be strong, and excuses for your bad choices you make in your life was a cop out.

Clyde and I played football together. He was the right Halfback and I was the left Halfback. Clyde was a great player; always going full tilt on every play.

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hands of God.
I also know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Mr. Tisdale made such a positive impact on my life and my direction to Defiance for college. The bible talks about seeking good council and I can definitely say Mr Tisdale was great council for me as I made the transition from high school to college. I'm so sorry to hear about the lost of Mr. Tisdale, he was a great man, that impacted many lives , including mines. I meet Mr. Tisdale and his family when I was five years old! He through the best Halloween parties in the garage for all the kids in the neighborhood! Clyde and I were in school together starting at Eagle Point in about 1940 and remained friends thru out life We played sports together. I have known both he and his family for over 70 years. Clyde was a true friend and always looked him up whenever in town. We enjoyed our times together. Very,very sorry for your loss.

My heartfelt sorrow to all the Tisdale family. Clyde and I were teammates, classmates and friends throughout life. He called me when I missed a reunion because of a heart problem and cheered me. He was a friend to everyone and a tremendous success in life. We should all model this man and be happy that we can call him our friend.
