Colin Fisher Obituary

FISHER Colin David Colin David Fisher, age 23, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away, August 4, 2009, at Medical University of Ohio at Toledo. He was born in Toledo, on September 20, 1985, to Michael Fisher and Jeannine Fisher. Colin loved to play pool with his friends and play his guitar. He loved music of all kinds. Colin was a caring son and loving brother with a huge heart. Colin had a contagious smile, which everyone loved. He was employed at Spaghetti Warehouse as a waiter. Colin is survived by his loving mother, Jeannine (James) Fisher; father, Michael (Tara) Fisher; siblings, Jordon Fisher, Laurie VanVorce, Jacob Fisher, Lindsay VanVorce, Ian Gray; step siblings, John Bryant, Tiara Bryant; grandparents, Jacqueline "Oma" Bennett, Harry and Aleta Fisher; special family, Ben Brown and Rose Ellis, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Colin was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd. (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Saturday, August 8, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, to follow at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of the Christian Burial at Gesu Catholic Church, 2049 Parkside.

I just want to say that Colin will be missed dearly. I got the chance to meet Colin at my work, and spent many hours talking and laughing with him. He was such a good person, and had a heart of gold. No matter how upset you were hear he would come with a smile and laughter that filled the room, always cheering someone up.
Thanks for being such a good friend Colin, and someone I could always talk to. You will forever be missed, I won't say goodbye, I'll just say *Untill We Meet Again* R.I.P :(

I DIDN'T KNOW HIM AS AN ADULT BUT REMEMBER WHEN THE KIDS WERE LITTLE AND WHAT A CAREING AND WONDERFUL MOTHER YOU WERE AND STILL ARE JEANINE. I didn't know Colin well, but I knew special people in his life very well and my heart goes out to his entire family. I apparently hired him as a cook many years ago and although he broke his hand and couldn't work there he told me I just remember how nice and understanding you were to me. It made me feel really good that I touched someone that had only known me for a very short time. He was very loved and he will be missed. RIP

As Colins father i just want to thank everyone for there support for our family in this time of loss.I just pray that his friends that knew him will relize that tomarrow is never promised and as you gather together in the future you will always protect each other because you never know who is there with the potential to harm you.
At some point i hope that i can meet with the man that took this time to be with my son in his last moments of his life. I will always be gratefull to you for your act of kindness and compassion that you showed to my son Colin.

I was lucky enough to share an apartment with Colin and Jake for some time last summer, and it was a blast. I was just one of the guys always crashing poker night! Colin was always makin me laugh. I remember one time I brought home a guitar I was going to buy and he sat there for a while and just played. He loved to just play. I hung out with Colin, Jake, and Jordan many nights, all of which are great, wonderful guys,my thoughts and prayers go out to them and their entire family.

You will be greatly missed Colin,

I was very close to Colin's older brother Jordon throughout our high school years. We all grow apart when we are not in the same setting and even though I havent seen either in a few years, my thoughts and prayers are with Jordon, Mike, Jeannine and Jacob....
