Constance
Constance Hayes, age 92, passed away on February 12, 2015. She was born on April 1, 1922, in Bloxwich, England to the late Rebecca (Lloyd) and Thomas Smith.
Constance retired from Ohio Bell in 1983 after 40 years of dedicated service. She volunteered at the gift shop at MCO and at her church. Constance also enjoyed flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, Constance was preceded in death by her husband, Farland Lloyd Hayes and brother, Norman Smith. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Lloyd "Tom" Hayes; sister, Mary (Edward) Osnowitz; granddaughter, Stephanie Hayes.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 2-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, 419-381-1900. The Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will take place in Toledo Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.

I worked with Connie at Ohio Bell. We shared many ToledoTelephone Pioneer luncheons over the years. I remember her as a hard working lady with a great sense of humor. God bless Connie and her family at this time.

As Connie's next door neighbor for 28 years, I will cherish our many intimate talks , and , our love for gardening . I was happy to keep her flowers blooming in these last years for her enjoyment . She was my inspiration to " get out there and do something " - I'd see her doing just that........and, would not let her show me up ( Haha ) !....We enjoyed sunshine and Glenn Miller in the summer !......Connie , I've given your cherished pink Easter Lily , from Tom , a special home in my garden as you requested . Always wishing you peace , Wonderful Lady !!!!...XO
