Daniel Rusin Obituary

Daniel Rusin, age 75, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2005, Veteran's Day, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on September 28, 1930, to John and Mary (Kukol) Rusin in Passaic, New Jersey.
Daniel was awarded a scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh, which he used to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He completed his degree in three years. He was hired at Swift and Co. to do food research for developing their product of smooth peanut butter known as "Peter Pan" and later became manager of that facility. He also managed plants in California and Louisiana.
Daniel was drafted into the Army and served at Fort Meade, MD as an instructor for chemical warfare. He was a member of Perrysburg's American Legion Post #28 and was a parishioner of St. Rose Catholic Church.
Daniel was a devoted husband and father and will be dearly missed. Surviving are his loving wife of 38 years, Ita Rusin; son, John Rusin; aunt, Emily Kocsis; cousins, Dolores Macaluso, Daniel Kocsis and David Kocsis.
Friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:15 a.m. in St. Rose Church. Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
