David Bosworth Obituary

David C. Bosworth, Jr.

April 11, 1965 - February 12, 2025

David C. Bosworth, Jr., 59, of Charlotte, NC, passed away February 12, 2025, after a brief illness.

David was a good and gentle soul, had a peaceful nature, and a genuine smile.

David was born at Andrews Air Force Base Hospital in Maryland where his parents served at the Naval Air facility. David was born at 3lbs. and 1oz. As a one-year-old his family relocated to Toledo, OH, to be near his mother's family. The family relocated to Ida Township in 1976.

David attended Ida High School and graduated in 1983. He also attended Monroe County Community College and transferred to the University of Toledo where he completed a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on Information Systems.

He excelled at computers and his first job after college was working at Fox Software as a Technical Engineer. After Fox was purchased by Microsoft, he opted to transfer to Charlotte to work at Microsoft, then the Hearst Corporation, and Bank of America.

David was a lifelong fan of Ohio State Buckeyes football team as well as the Detroit Lions. While he has always cheered on the Lions, the past two seasons were very exciting. David was a homebody. He enjoyed working out and weightlifting since he was a teen and created a home gym in Charlotte.

David loved animals. He adopted a three-legged kitten named Tripod. Concerned that the kitten was lonely, the next day he returned and adopted Tripod's cage mate, Duncan. His love of animals extended to a raccoon and cats he fed in his backyard.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen; his grandparents, maternal, Chester and Ursula Flower, and paternal, John and Winnifred Bosworth; two aunts, Julie Jackowski and Jackie Monarch; and an uncle, John Bosworth III; and his fur babies.

Left behind to mourn David's absence are his father, David; sister, Dawn; brother, Douglas (Denise); and niece, Joyah; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd., at Jackman, Temperance, MI, where a memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any local animal rescue.
