David Clouse Obituary

David H. Clouse

David H. Clouse, age 74, Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born on January 27, 1950, in Whitley County, Kentucky to Pascal and Virginia Clouse. David was a graduate of Woodward High School and served in the U.S. Army 20th Engineering Brigade. He worked as a millwright for the Dura Corp. for 22 years, retiring in 1990. After retiring, David went back to school and earned his associate degree in electronics from Owens Community College. He enjoyed fixing things, especially electronics, computers, and cars. David also played golf and was a member of the Professional Putters Association for many years. He loved spending time with his family, especially with the grandkids. David volunteered as a basketball coach over the years for C.Y.O. and Eisenhower School. He will be dearly missed.

David is survived by his wife, Judy Clouse; children, Tara (Brian) Silvey, Charlotte (Tim Brown) Meach, and David (Jamie) Clouse; stepchildren, Cheri Brown, James Seibers, Shane Seibers, and Kayla Mathews; grandchildren, Dylan, Tessa, Kaydence, Brianna, Nicholas, and Logan; great-grandson, Ricardo; and many step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Kathleen; and his aunt, Bede.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road in Oregon on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Garden. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or ASPCA.
