David Krieger Obituary

David C. Krieger

David C. "Trouble" Krieger, 73 of Williston, passed away peacefully with family member Ron "Driver" at his side, from acute illness and complications of Covid-19 Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, OH.

He was born April 20, 1947 to George and Edith (Grover-Smith) Krieger in Toledo, OH. David worked for The Toledo Blind Society for "39 yrs" that's his story, well one of the many David had to tell about. He was "Little Dave" to his older siblings growing up. His mother would put him on the Tarta Bus Mon-Fri. David loved to play baseball as a kid despite being legally blind. Everybody wanted "Krieger" on their team, he'd hit that ball out of the park! His favorite team was the New York Yankees. He also loved Big Time Wrestling that was held at The Sport's Arena, a brother or even a sister would take him. He had many autographs from the famous wrestler's. David also loved Country Music and would go to The Grand Ole Opry every year for 15 years with his mom and a sister. He collected autographs from Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells, Charlie Pride and many more. Although he never attended a game, he favored U of M college football over OSU. He certainly lived life to the fullest having a family member with him at all times. This last year of his life he spent where his niece Kim knew he was at his "forever home", Luther Home of Mercy. David received so much compassion, kindness, understanding, friendship (Malik) and above all love from the women staff that worked in Cottage #12, who he affectionately referred to as, "hey lady!".

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James A. (Nell) Smith Sr., Ronald W. Smith Sr.; sisters, Bessie (Harold) Sevrence, Shirley (Steve) Koles, Joanne (Ray) Styer, & Carol Wilkes.

He is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio (419-691-6768).
