Donald Dudley

Donald D. Coy, 88, of Millbury, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Genoa Retirement Village. Don was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 10, 1926, to William and Helen (Tracy) Coy. In 1944, he graduated from Olney High School. Don served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1950, he married Jane Rennert. Don worked at Sun Oil Refinery for many years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping, and spending time at his cottage on Ball Lake in Hamilton, Indiana.

Don is survived by his children, Kathleen (Kevin) Taylor and Douglas (Martha) Coy; grandchildren, Adam (Nikole) Taylor, Zachary, Nathan, and Lauren Taylor, Megan, Alison, and Frances Coy, and great-grandchildren, Torren, Dekklan, and Trystan Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jane, and brother, Richard (Grace) Coy.

Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Sunday, August 10, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A time of luncheon and fellowship will begin Monday, August 11, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:30 p.m. in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 611 Woodville Road, Toledo, Ohio 43605. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Dear Kathleen, Doug, and Family,

We are so very sorry about the loss of your dad. He and your mom were good friends to my parents, Harry and Jean, and I'm sure they still have many good memories of their times together. May both of your parents rest in peace.
