My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Grandpa Rochte was such a hoot, a jokester, I always loved playing along with his fun and games, and giving him a hug and a kiss. He was so lovable. he will be missed. I think it is wonderful for the legacy he has left behind for his loved ones!

Mom and I are deeply saddened by Rocky's untimely death. There are no words to ease your pain. Take solace in knowing that he knew how much you all loved him and that he lives on whenever you think of him. I have wonderful memory's of the fun times we had at the lake in Michigan and the and all of the party's in the basement. My parents had 40+ years as friends. Dad and Rocky are back together again. May the love of your family and friends bring you peace and comfort. You are in our prayers.

Dear Paul and Lori, Chris, Stephanie, Mindy, Tawny and Miss Tiffany, we are saddened by the news of your Dad's (Grandpa's) passing. We have fond memories of family gatherings with you all at your home over many years. Grandpa always had a joke or a wise crack to share always keeping us all on our toes. Alice you are in our thoughts and prayers. What a wonderful legacy he has left in you, his family. Much love to you all. Steve & Nancy and family

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Rochte family. I remember "Grandpa Rochte" as a loving and funny man that had a certain way about him that just made you smile. Even though it has been awhile since I last saw him I can still picture him in his big red truck pulling up the long "lake house" driveway and tinkering away at something in the yard... he will be greatly missed.

Dear papa. You are a wonderful person. You have given us so many wonderful memories to keep close to our hearts. We were truly blessed to have you with us for as long as we did. My grandpa was a fighter, someone who refused to give up no matter what. For anyone who new him, you could not help but love him. He always had a joke to tell or a story that would make you smile. His outlook on life, the love he had for grandma, and our family will forever leave his footprint in our hearts. I will miss all the times we had fishing, working on the house,(or anything else he would work on) the holidays that we would have so much fun together, and grandpa just showing up at the shop to say hello to the New Direction crew and to have a cup of coffee with us. (even though he wasnt supossed to drive up here)! He was a man full of suprises and somehow always managed to stay in trouble but thats what made him Grandpa. Thank you grandpa, things will never be the same but the memories you left behind will carry us through. Thanks to all of my family and all of my friends for being so suportive during such a hard time, and papa I know your in a good place now. I love you, your grandson Chris Rochte

I am so sorry for your loss. I admired Don for his humor. I've known him since I was 15 and working at Herb's restaurant. He was a great guy. He will be missed. He and his wife were friends with my mom and dad, they were all part of the coffee club at the restaurant.
