Donna HERMAN Obituary

HERMAN Donna J. Donna J. Herman, 68, of Genoa, Ohio, died in her home Thursday, June 3, 2010. Donna was born December 9, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Donald and Mable (Sommers) Beadle. She volunteered at the Genoa Retirement Village, where she later worked as the receptionist. She also worked as a medical secretary for 10 years in Warren, MI, and had worked at several Sears stores for 16 years. Donna's hobbies included jewelry beading and scrapbooking, but she especially enjoyed sewing clothing for her young children. Survivors include her children, Deanna "Dee" (Terry) Buckley of Martin, Christine (Leon) Volk of Dowagiac, MI, Douglas (Amy) Austin of Rossford, and Jeremy Herman of Fayetteville, AR; grand children, Brendan and Brittany Buckley, Paul and Lauren Volk, Ruby Le, Andrew (Hannah) Austin, and Alex and Evan Austin; great grandchild, Lucas Anthony Smith; and sister, Helen (Don) Witherell, Midland, MI. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and great grandchild, Ella Christine Slack. Visitation will be 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, in the Robinson - Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH, where the funeral will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Interment will take place in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. The family has suggested memorials for Donna to the Genoa Retirement Village, 300 Cherry St., Genoa, OH 43430, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
