Eldred "Shorty" FRAME

FRAME Eldred "Shorty" Eldred "Shorty" Frame passed away suddenly in his home on Saturday, August 4, 2012. He was born on May 5, 1927 to Marion and Josephine Frame in Jackson, MI. His parents worked in Chicago during the depression, leaving him to be raised by his grandparents in Fayette, OH. During WWII, Shorty served in the Navy on an aircraft carrier and during the Korean War, in Guam, on the U.S.S. Wiltse. He met the love of his life at a square dance, Mary Ellen Zenk. They were married in 1952. They raised their five children in Toledo, OH. He started Frames Tree Service in 1954. He worked many long hours and instilled this work ethic in his children. In 1974, he expanded into the pest control service, which became the sole focus of the business, now called Frame's Pest Control. Though Shorty allegedly retired in 2007, the company continues to be family owned and operated, now employing its third generation of family members who carry on his legacy of hard work and exceptional service. Shorty enjoyed summer weekends at his cottage on Lake Pleasant in Osseo, MI. He and his family have many fond memories including fishing, boating, skiing, and other outdoor activities. He spent his winters in Florida where he had many friends. He enjoyed playing cards and eating out. His is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Ellen; children, Deborah (Donald) Case, Rick (Mary Jo) Frame, Rebecca (Art) Ingram, Vicky (William) Gall, and Cathy (Dennis) Jaworski; grandchildren, Donnie (Melissa), Derrick (Ellen), Danielle C., Nick (Amy), Tony (Holly), Lindsay (Brent), BJ, Michael, Lauren (fiancé Josh), Beth, Kim, Danielle J., and Katie; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Charlie, Emily, Hannah, Michael, Finneas, and Ewan, and brother, Marion "Butch" (Anna) Frame Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Blessed Sacrament Church (friends are invited to visit in the narthex after 9:00 a.m.). The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home 3000 Sylvania Avenue, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery in Fayette, Ohio.
