Elizabeth BAUMGARTNER Obituary

BAUMGARTNER Elizabeth Jane (Ball) Elizabeth Jane (Ball) Baumgartner, 60, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, in her winter home in Safety Harbor, Florida. Elizabeth was born in Toledo, Ohio, on October 31, 1950. Elizabeth was raised and grew up in East Toledo and was a proud graduate of Waite High School, class of 1968. Liz was active in the band and was also a majorette. After high school she went on to work at Jobst Institute for over five years. From there, she worked at various medical clinics serving as medical billing specialist. On September 21, 1974, she married John Baumgartner. John and Liz quickly started a family and they have four daughters. She enjoyed watching her children who were all active in sports and was an avid seamstress making clothing and various crafts. She spent ample time traveling visiting her children and grandchildren. Survivors include husband, John Baumgartner of Rossford; daughters, Lora (Shawn) Eichel, Sara (Mike) McHugh, Beth (Brent) Crosby and Lynn (Brett) Brown; grandchildren, Evan, Ellie, Eric (Lora), Colin, Madelyne, Maren (Sara), John (Beth), Hudson, Brooklyn, AJ (Lynn); brother, Joseph Ball; sisters, Barbara Baumgartner, Margaret Wagner and Laura Barton. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Ball; mother, Margaret Ball; sister, Martha Ball. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, on Sunday from 2 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Waite High School Alumni Association or Memorial United Church of Christ. www.egglestonmeinert.com

I remember Liz stopping cars on Milton street so she could march with her batton . She was alway ready for the big football game on friday night. I remember Martha an I just sitting on the step laughing at her. Liz filled us with some really fun memories.
