POCA Ellen May Ellen May Poca, 84, of Swanton, OH, died August 22, 2006 surrounded by her family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, OH. She was born July 21, 1922 to Arthur and Esther (Andrews) Flynn in Napoleon, OH. Ellen graduated from Swanton High School and formerly worked at Willies Overland (Jeep) and Dolly & Joes. She attended Brailey Union Church in Swanton, OH. She was a member of the Women's DAV Auxiliary, and served on the Board of Appeals for Swanton Twp. for many years. Ellen enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, crossword puzzles, playing cards, gardening, bird watching and crocheting afghans for her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling to dog shows with Lynette and her family. She married William Poca May 5, 1946, he preceded her in death in 1985. Survivors include, sons, Bill (Sue), Kent (Lynn), and Don (Kathy); daughters, Suzanne Everett and Lynette Poca; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brother, Roger Flynn and sister, Ruth Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Vince Everett, and brothers, Kent and Forrest. Friends and family may call Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Peinert Funeral Home, Whitehouse, OH from 4-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brailey Union Church, Swanton, OH with Pastor Jim Nixon officiating.
