Bob and Patty.
I did not know about Evelyn`s passing until now. My sympathies and condolences. Imagine, rose and Evelyn departed six months apart. They were friends up to the last moment. What a long friendship. My mother appreciated their friendship and talked about your mom with delight. And she also liked you three kids very much and talked about you often. Fran

I had the pleasure of being one of Grandma's care givers at twpp and we instantly loved each other from day one and her hugs was the best and always on time. It was a pleasure being in your life for just a short time, but I have good memories to keep and thank you for sharing your family with me they have welcomed me with the same love you gave me and I thank you and the family for sharing such loving people with me.
Love you family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of your mother... she was a wonderful, kind woman.
Mrs.Shordt was a dear friend to our mother Pauline Rice, and they were involved in many Blessed Sacrament activities and enjoyed their Wednesday shopping sprees.
I remember fondly her sending her delicious Polish coffee cake every Christmas...something we looked forward to.
May she Rest In Peace

Mrs. Shordt, what an amazing lady. She was the best neighbor ever. Another grandmother to us and the kids. Miss seeing her in the flower beds, miss her smile and her waving from the backdoor. I know she has a super special place in heaven.

Evelyn and I were in the Funeral Choir at Blessed Sacrament Parish and I remember when she told me about how one of the ushers called this particular choir "The Sob Sisters." I thought it sounded so funny. I recall picking Evelyn up from her home one year for the Parish Volunteer Christmas Party at the Parish House. After a couple hours we left because she was concerned about her cat who was still outside when we left. Upon our return though, he was there faithfully waiting for Evelyn and quite ready to get inside on this cold winter night. Evelyn was a kind and good-hearted soul.

I knew Evelyn since my mother moved next door to her at Memory Care at West Park Place on September 20, 2022. She reminded me of my best friend's mother, which made me feel close to her. She always remembered my face and smiled and reached out her hands to me when I came to visit mom. She always had a hug for me and would hold my hand. At one time she came up to say hello while I was sitting with mom in the dining room. She grabbed my hand and said "let's go" and started walking with me down the hall. Evelyn was so special. I stopped to visit the people in Memory Care today and found out she passed. My mom passed December 23, and I didn't have a chance to say good-bye to Evelyn. She is missed very much by the aides at Memory Care and I will miss her as well. Debbie Lewis, daughter to Doris Lewis, Evelyn's neighbor in 219.
