Flora M. Porter

Flora M. Porter, 76, of Perrysburg, OH, died Monday, September 19, 2005, in Ridgewood Manor. She was born in Buffalo, New York on February 7, 1929, to Byron and Grace (Smith) McKim and was married in Amherst, Nova Scotia to Wylie A. Porter, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1994. She was a nursing assistant in Port Charlotte, FL for 32 years, retiring in 2001. Mrs. Porter was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Perrysburg, OH, St. James Episcopal Church in Port Charlotte, FL and a member of the Perrysburg Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #446.
She is survived by her sons, Hugh A. (Ann) Porter of Plattsburgh, NH and Curtis B. (Teri) Porter of Bowie, Maryland; daughter, Kathleen G. (David) Mulinix of Rossford, OH; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lemoyne E. McKim.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.S. Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133) where Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2005, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 871 East Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH with The Rev. Bryant Dennison officiating. Burial will be private. Memorials may take the form of donations to American Lung Association.
