Florence Louise "Polly"
Florence Louise "Polly" Holt, 99, formerly of Oak Grove Place, Toledo, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Spring Meadow. She was born February 20, 1916, in Marion, OH, to Joseph and Opal Miller. Florence was a stay-at-home mom and was a cub scout and girl scout leader. She was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church since 1938, DAR, and volunteered as a "gray lady". Polly was in card clubs and following the death of her husband, John W. Holt in 1981, she began traveling the world with her eldest daughter, visiting many countries.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Dr. Sally L. Holt, Elizabeth Trotter and Jane Crowley; sons, William (Charlene) Holt, Tim (Eileen) Holt, Thomas (Susie) Holt and James (Patricia) Holt; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Polly was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
Friends are invited to visit from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, (between Secor and Douglas Roads), where a scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, (4227 Bellevue Road). Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Most Blessed Sacrament Church.

I was so lucky to have Grandma Polly in my life growing up. She was spunky, holy and had such a huge heart. It was fun doing sleep overs for weeks at a time, eating ice cream on her patio and watching Golden Girls re runs laughing at Betty White. I will miss her greatly but so happy she is finally at peace with Grandpa And her family. My favorite quote of hers: "I don't know if I am coming or going." I will miss her laugh and great sense of humor. God Bless and Rest in Peace Gma.
