Franklin St. Germain Obituary

Franklin "Frank" St. Germain

Franklin "Frank" St. Germain, 81 of Lambertville, MI, died Monday, January 8, 2018, at The Toledo Hospital. Born June 1, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Franklin J. and Jessie (Delbrocco) St. Germain, Sr. He was a 1954 graduate from Central Catholic High School, and then received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo. Frank then served his country in the U.S. Army. Affectionately known by his family as Schnookey, he was employed by several real estate agencies in the Toledo and Michigan area. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, and former president of the Toledo Ski Club, Monroe County Board of Realtors and lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club. Frank attracted friends from all walks of life; professionals, school mates, neighbors and clients alike easily related to him. He was once easy going, yet insightful, capable of support, yet unyielding in analysis when opinion was sought. Those fortunate enough to have enjoyed his friendship, have experienced a great loss. Frank's commitment to and enjoyment of family was complete. His passing leaves lasting memories for his treasured grandchildren to revisit. Perhaps the memories will be accompanied by a tear or two, although, they will know how fortunate they have been as well. Frank was proud of his son and daughter-in-law, for their loving and constant care and support of him, particularly during his illness.

He is survived by his loving son, Mark (Cindy) St. Germain; grandchildren, Madeline, Joseph and Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joann Dusha.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where a scripture service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00, Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where he will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
