Frederick FRUCHEY Obituary

FRUCHEY Frederick R. Frederick R. Fruchey, age 80, of Perrysburg passed away July 18, 2012, at The University of Toledo Medical Center. Fred was born in Toledo on January 27, 1932, to Russell and Mable (Weber) Fruchey. He married Norma Jean Waxler on December 26, 1951, and they enjoyed 60 years together. Fred made a 20 year career out of the United States Air Force receiving numerous medals: Korean War National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, National Service Medal of Good Conduct with one oak leaf. Special Operations Group - 94, Air Force Longevity Service Award with three oak Leaves, Air Force Conduct Medal with two oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Commendation Medal of Merit. After his service in the Air Force, Fred worked for the U.S. Post Office for another 20 years before retiring. Fred was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Norma; sons, Michael (Beth) and Brent (Peggy); daughters, Nora (Tim) Cochran and Kimberly (George) Michetti; grandchildren, Nathan, Katie (Kelsey), Jackie, Brian, Sam, Sophia, Gino; and brother, Ronald. He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Lori Jean. Services for Fred will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation. To Norma and the Fruchey Family, so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I am glad I got to know Fred and I enjoyed the stories he told of his life and past experiences.
