I met Fred many years ago when our sons were on the same soccer team and we became more than good friends. I googled him to try to find him after many years apart and was stunned to see he so recently passed away and from ALS. My father took the same journey with this hideous disease and my heart breaks for Fred. But his struggles are over and he is at peace. Vaya con Dios, Fred - you were such a good man.

To Fred's family,
Letting you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. I met Fred in 1962 when we were caddies at Sylvania Country Club.
We had fun. He was witty and smart and great to be around.
Sincerely,
Tom Gagnet

He is a special friend from Central and later at UT. His smile was infectious as was his friendship. I always looked forward to seeing Fred at our reunions and sharing stories. Our paths did not cross often enough. He rests with God.
