George



George Allen, "Mr. Big Stuff," 78, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014, at his home. He was a devoted Christian and lifelong member of Braden United Methodist Church whose faith and love for Jesus Christ was the core of his very being and the center of his life.

George was preceded in death by parents Wilson and Emantha Allen; brothers, Sylvester Allen and Louis Allen Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary L. Allen; sons, Roderick V. (Patricia) Allen, George Montgomery Allen; daughters, Pamela (Dion) Cummings, and Cassandra Allen; special grandsons, John (Amber) Fitzgerald Jr. and Vincent Fitzgerald; two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Carlton Herbert Allen; two sisters, Morell Fonfield and Ruby C. Hill; a host of other loving cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind friends, and ALL of Toledo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. proceeded by a 10 a.m. wake at Braden United Methodist Church. Services entrusted to The House of Day Funeral Service. Please sign the register book at:

Mr Allen, I truly love you. You were always looking out for me. And you took me in when I was locked out which was a'lot. You always made me feel welcome, you and Mrs Allen. Please say hello to my mom now that you are in Heaven. Your work here is done. You raised wonderful children, who I love. Mary and Family, George worked for Mortgage Investors for many years. Dick and my son Kevin have fond memories of George when they played basketball on the 2nd floor. We also loved the barbecue sauce and ordered it many times. You'll be missed Mr. Bigstuff
