Gerald HERMAN Obituary

HERMAN Gerald P. Sr. "Big Jerry" Gerald P. Herman, Sr., 72, of Weston, OH completed his adventurous journey through life on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, after a courageous battle with diabetes. He was born in Waterville, OH to the late Paul W. Herman and Ruby K. Herman-Barton. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Herman-Heimbaugh who he married on October 29, 1960, and sister, Maxine Herman Kindle Naugle. Gerald is survived by his 4 loving children, Gerald Jr. (Toni) of Custar, OH, Bonita (John) Fisher of Bunnell, FL, Brenda Flores of Woodville, OH, Paul (Michelle) of Oakwood, OH; he was also the proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and several step grandchildren. Special to his heart, the late Joe (his boston bull terrier). He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being surrounded by friends. He will be missed and remembered for his compassion and zest for life. Friends and family will be received on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 24084 West Second St., Grand Rapids, OH from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. also at Wright-Habegger Funeral Home. Internment service will follow at Weston Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online Condolences may be shared by visiting www.wrighthabegger.com
