Gerald Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON Gerald E. "Jerry" Gerald E. "Jerry" Johnson, age 70, of Erie, MI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 2, 2007, in West Toledo Heartland Nursing Home. He was born on July 16, 1936, to Carl E. and Mary J. (Pahula) Johnson in Superior, Wisconsin. Jerry worked as a chef for 30 years on Lake Freighters until retiring in 1988. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Patricia Johnson; and brother, Carl Johnson, Jr. Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Berneta Johnson; step-daughter, Susan (David) Sampson; step-sons, Michael (Karen), Bill (Judy) and Stanley (Jean) Donovan; 10 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary A. (Melvin) Johnson and Kathy (Roger) Kaake; brother, Robert (Shirley) Johnson; sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson; dear friends, Martha Cromberg and Dean Fox; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) from 4-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Wotring.
