Those we love don't go away...they walk beside us everyday; UNSEEN,
UNHEARD, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
I miss you Gertie as this second year is here. Hello to your wonderful family!

Almost one year and yes, I still miss you. We only knew each other for 13 months but it could have been 13 years how you, Karen and I became the Three Musketeers. So many at Hawthorne Commons speak of you FREQUENTLY and always with fond memories and love. You are greatly missed.

It's just not the same without Gertie in the Hawthorne Commons complex. I especially miss our nice visits sitting on her front patio. We used to walk the path and enjoy the woods and each other's company. This is your one year anniversary of your passing, Gertie, and I miss you so!

Since moving in two doors down from me two years ago I was lucky to call her friend! Gertie was fun loving and was caring and friendly. Come visit she would say and we did very often to my delight!! I miss her and will cherish our times together.

Gertie is dearly missed. A lovely, wise, kind and generous person that pulled no punches. She was a breath of air and truly unique. We love you Gertie.

I was one of Gertie's neighbors at Hawthorne Commons - we moved in mid August. We shared a special connection being among the few Jews in the complex. I always enjoyed spending time with her, whether playing Mah Jongg or attending any of the social events. My condolences to her family.

A force to be reckoned with! Gertie was warm and compassionate and I am thankful I was one of The Three Musketeers :) May her wonderful family remember the laughing and loving memories of Gertie's 85 years forever. I wish I had known her longer.
