Gustav Stein, 58, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Detroit Ave. He was born April 25, 1955, in Germany. He was employed as a cook with South Aire Lounge.

Gustav was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his wife, Nadene Prater; children, Angela Hill, James and Kelly Conley; grandchildren, Camie, Derrick "Lil Hillbilley", Kaylee, Seth, Addison and BreAnna "Banana"; sister, Sandy Howell; nephew, Shawn, and great friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013, from 10 a.m. at the Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave, Oregon, OH, where services will begin at 2 p.m.

Wow, words cannot express my sympathy for this family. I love how you always referred to me as Calvin jokingly knowing my husband's name was Alvin. The Ushers at Vision lost a great brother and you will be greatly missed.

Gush,you came into our lives 37 years ago when you came here from Germany with Cricket (brother in law ). You gained a huge family when you found us some crazy and some not, I remember when I got my first pair of Jordache jeans I was so excited to have them and ever since that day you called me Jordache all the time I'll never forget . you was a brother,a Uncle ,friend you were family.Gush you are going to be missed by everyone ,it's a very sad day for our family because you are gone .I'll never forget the time that you burned sasa's hutch with your fish tank stuff and my poor baby Miranda almost went flying out sasa's back door cause sasa threw my poor baby (lol) practicly .we'll be lost without you Gush you were one in a million.you will be missed .So long Gush we will see you again someday watch over my Kyle till I get there.Love You Gush ...Jordache ...
