I knew and worked with Herman since the early 1960's on the Railroad as fellow UTU local chairmen, as well as when Herman was a General Chairman and I was with management. No one worked harder than Herman representing his fellow employees and always had their best interests at heart. I admired and respected Herman. As important as Union interests were to him, most important to him was his family. My prayers go to them at this time. Steve Budzina

In the years between 90-91 I worked with Herman-during that time he visited Poland-he gave me souvenirs from that country-they are still displayed in our home-Herman was friend to everyone.

I worked with Herman on the N&W/NS. I haven't seen him in years but I remember him as one of the nicest railroad employees. Herman will be missed.

While checking the "Blade" obituaries here in Scottsdale, Arizona I noticed your last name, Kathy. Then I read about your father. I noticed his railroad career. My biological grandfather, a man I never met in person, was a career railroad man, lived in Walbridge, Ohio. My step grandfather also was a railroad worker, a New York Central engineer. Your father had an impressive background. Our condolences to you, Kathy, and the entire Jeskey family. Please respond to my e-mail address if you like. God bless!
