James Brock Obituary
James L. "Jim" Brock, age 90, of Toledo, passed away January 14, 2019 at Franciscan Care Center. Jim was born June 15, 1928 in Roane County, TN to James and Lilli (Beatty) Brock. He was employed with Dura Corp. for 46 years retiring in 1990. James was a member of Masonic Lodge 643 and Ancient Accepted Scottish Right in Toledo, Ohio. He enjoyed reading the Bible, drawing, listening to country western music, watching WLMB, the History Channel and HGTV.
In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Roberta; son, Stephen; brothers Keith and Lynn and sister, Fanny Brock. He is survived by his children, Jill (Bryan) Tilden, Gary (Nancy) Brock, Donald Brock; grandchildren, Steven (Angel), Teresa (Michael), Amber, Misty (Dave), Julie (Leon), Jaxon (Kami) and Samantha (Eric); great-grandchildren, Mahryssa, Ivory, Skyla, Mariah, Kaylie, Johnathan (Sierra), Starrlyn, Ambraih, Jazzy, Zoe, Greeley, Rigby and Arunah; great-great grandchild, Sara.
The family will receive guests Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 am. at the funeral home followed by burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo.
Memorial contributions may be made to Diabetes Association in Jim's memory.
The family would like to especially thank the staff of Oak Leaf Village of Toledo, Toledo Wound Clinic, Dr. Abbas, Franciscan Care Center and Dr. Judith Furlong and her staff for all their love, care and support given to Jim and his family during this difficult time.
