James Flunder Obituary
James L. "Jamie" Flunder went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2018. Born to Bobbette Flunder (Monroe) and Robert Flunder Jr. on September 5, 1950. Jamie retired from Chrysler Corporation after having worked there for 35 years. Jamie enjoyed family vacations, and spending time with his wife and sons. He loved watching old westerns and WWE wrestling. He was an avid music lover of all genres and took pride in his automobiles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn (Chasteen) of 24 years; his sons, James Lee Flunder II, Larry Lee Lanting, and Anthony James Lanting; grandchildren, Kayden and Bianca Lanting; sisters, Bobbie Hornbeck, Patricia Snipes of California, Betty Baucom, Diane Flunder, Linda Hill (Artis Smith); brothers, Robert (Beverly), Michael, Jack (Lois), Tony (Selena); several nieces, nephews; and best friend, Ed Madison.
Preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Eunice Witcher; son, Jimmy Flunder; and stepson, Christopher Howell; and brother-in-law, Ananias Snipes. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6th at the House of Day at 10:30 a.m. Final interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for his son, James Lee Flunder II. Repass will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church on Collingwood Blvd., Toledo.
