James Paul Gephart, age 79, of Elmore, OH passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Perrysburg Healthcare & Rehabilitation. He was born on October 24, 1942 in Toledo, OH to Burton and Florence (Leffler) Gephart. On November 3, 1962 he married Judith Henninger in Toledo, OH. James and Judy raised 2 children and have celebrated nearly 60 years of marriage together.

James was in maintenance for 50 years and worked for various companies throughout the country before retiring. He was a devoted volunteer fireman 40 plus years in the various communities he lived in. James enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Judy, James is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Michele) Gephart of Woodville, Jodi Gephart of VA; grandchildren, Zachary (Morgan), Kaitlin and Jennah Gephart; brother, Milton (Sue) Gephart of Toledo; and brother-in-law, Darold Henninger of Oregon, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, LaDonna McCamey; and brother, Burton Gephart Jr.

Family and friends will be received 9-11 a.m., with a memorial service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street, Woodville, OH. Interment will follow at Harris-Elmore Cemetery, Elmore, OH. Officiating will be, Rev. James Budke.
