James F.



James F. Rolf passed away on December 5, 2014. Born September 29, 1927, to Walter and Hulda (Sander) Rolf in Luckey, OH. Jim was a graduate of Waite High School, Toledo, OH and served in the U.S. Army as a machinist. He married Mariel Brady in 1948. Jim had a lifelong career at Torrence Sound, Toledo, OH, serving as sales manager and eventually President/CEO. Upon his retirement, Jim and Mariel moved from Waterville, OH to Phoenix, AZ. Jim was an avid fisherman and card player. He loved traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jim was a member of Glenwood and Community of Christ Lutheran churches in OH and Resurrection Lutheran in Scottsdale. He was an active member in Rotary and the Electro Club in Toledo, OH.

In addition to Mariel, his wife of 66 years, he is survived by sister, Phyllis Wietelmann; sons, Thomas Rolf (Cathy), William Rolf (Kate), Matthew Rolf (Chris); daughter, Amy Bear (Gary); daughter-in-law, Trude Rolf (Amick); 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Robert Wietelmann, and son, Michael Rolf.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26th at Community of Christ Lutheran Church, 6517 Finzel Road, Whitehouse, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the church.
