Jane Bihn Obituary
7/27/1959 - 12/13/2022
Jane Frances Bihn, 63, of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on December 13, 2022. She was born on July 27, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio to Mary Ellen (Barry) and Robert F. Bihn. Jane graduated as valedictorian of Cardinal Stritch High School in 1977 and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Walsh College in 1980. She received her Juris Doctor degree in 1983 from the University of Toledo College of Law and was an attorney in private practice for 38 years. She married Richard A. Perse on March 1, 2003, and he survives. Jane was a member of the Ohio and county Bar Associations and a member of Genoa Kiwanis.
Jane enjoyed traveling, attending theater productions, western square dancing, and spending time with family and friends. She participated in trivia nights and the Toledo Blade Corporate and Community Spelling Bee. She will be remembered by family and friends for the thoughtfully chosen greeting cards for every occasion; for attending many concerts, sport competitions, and school events for her nieces and nephews; and for planning special activities for family and friends to celebrate together.
Jane is survived by husband, Richard A. Perse; siblings, Mary Susan (William) Mercer, Robert L. (Rosanna) Bihn, Teresa (Steven) Fillmore, and Karl (Mary Jo Wagner) Bihn; nieces and nephews, Martin, David, Billy, Mary K., Brett, Mark, John, Matthew, Clara, Andrew, Kristopher, and Thomas; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may visit the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street in Maumee on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 3-8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 West Broadway Street in Maumee. Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Parkinson Foundation of Northwest Ohio or to Ovarian Cancer Connection. Condolences may be left online at
