Grandma, I'm missing you so very much right now...I feel such an emptiness inside of me...I used to drive past your house sometimes when I was coming home late at night..I just wanted to do a little check to make sure everything was ok. I miss your big hugs and your warm embrace...I miss your coffee! I just want you to know that you have done so much for so many people and I wanted to thank you for being the most awesome grandma a girl could ever ask for. I used to tell my friends how "my grandma dresses so hip!" I am so proud of you Grandma..you left such an imprint on my heart that I really want to strive to be the kind of lady that you were. Thank you for always talking about Jesus with me..thank you for always loving me...thank you for always showing me what a lady should be..thank you for always being such an inspiration...after I had my daughter there were so many times I thought..."How did my grandma have 11 children?" You were truly an angel from God...I really mean it when I say you were thee greatest example of Christ and his love...I really miss you Grandma, I just kinda thought that you were going to live forever! I hope and pray that I'm as hip as you and as loving as you and as cool as you and as outgoing and energetic as you and as beautiful as you when I'm a grandma. Thank you for being such a positive inspiration in my life. Thank you for leaving such a God pleasing legacy. I love you and miss you SOOOOOO much! Tell Grandpa that my Mom learned how to make salsa! (and I didn't even give her the recipe!---but dang it's good!) I'll be thinking about ya....you know what I thought is really cool? I was thinking about how you aren't going to be the last person to sit down at the kitchen table anymore! :) Jesus ain't gonna let that happen lady Jane! Love you grams.....really missing you bad! I hope you're having a ball up there!

I am greatful to have known you, even if only for a brief time. You welcomed me with kindness and no matter what were gracious towards me. Your patience and genuine love for your family was obvious to all who spent even a minute in your presence. John was blessed to have you as a grandmother and my son is in turned blessed as well for having known you. May you be at peace in Jesus and in being reunited with John and Grandpa Al. You were and are a shining example of Proverbs 31, and will forever be remembered by me in this way.

Mom, I will miss you so much. I can only hope to be half the woman you were. You gave us so much. I never knew
anyone who had so much love for so many
people. You and Dad had a way of making
each and everyone of your children and
grandchildren feel like they were very
special. You both are the reason, we
know the Lord. We Praise God for you. We all know how blessed we were to have you for our Mom. Give Dad and my
baby a big hug. Yo Te Amore, Christina

Grandma, I miss you so much words will never be able to explain the emptiness I already feel with you gone. I am so grateful for everything you have showed me and taught me about life, mostly about Jesus and how powerful prayer can be. You've showed by example what it is to be a lady, a beautiful woman. I'm so glad I got to be around you so much as a child, I LOVED being at your house and would be soo mad when it was time to go!! You would tuck us in at night and make sure we said our prayers.. and would wake up to a delicious breakfast! Now.. you know how much I absolutly loved your rice, (along with everything else)..and I would wonder what you did that would make it so much better than anything else I've ever tasted, and I know it was because your special ingrediant was LOVE! [and lots of practice!] I dont know how I can brace the upcoming months.. years without you around but I will do my best to continue to make you proud and project the values that you have instilled in me. I know you will be watching over me, tell Grandpa I love him and miss him also very much.
With much love..
Brittany (&Gabriel)

To the Segura family:
When we moved into our "new" home in April 2000, we couldn't have imagined a more wonderful neighborhood to move into. Janie was the sweetest, most down-to-earth neighbor and friend. I felt at times that she "unofficially" adopted our four children into her family, as well as Jim and I. In getting to know your family: Donna, Doug, Janelle, Dee, Sharon, Tony, Joe, Sue, Vicki and Ray, Brittany, etc., we could see what a caring and loving family she had. It was a testament to how she raised you that someone was always visiting, taking her somewhere, or staying with her. Whenever I saw the cars in front of her house, our house, and all around the boulevard, I knew love and laughter were inside her four walls. Each car represented a return on the love she bestowed to her family throughout the years. She especially loved our Kyle, 8 years old when we moved in, but now 18 and a senior in High School. She got such a kick out of watching him outside, always playing some type of ball.
She was such a young person, both in looks and her spirit! We are still struggling with the loss of this absolutely phenomenal woman. Know that our hearts are heavy with grief, but we know your grief must be overwhelming. We will pray for strength for your family. Be strong in faith and know that she is truly with the Lord.

To my Cousins, Aunt Vicki and Uncles:
It is my deepest regret that I could not be with you during this most difficult time. I loved my Aunt Jane and am sadden by her death. However, what gives me strength about her death is I know she is a child of God. She is now in heaven with Jesus in his presence living in the glory land (you can’t top that). Aunt Jane is a true Christian and this shined from the inside out, this why people were drawn to her. She always had a calming peace about her and you could feel her genuine love (she always had a smile and a hug for me. Always!). Cousins, Aunt Vicki and Uncles you were so very blessed to have a Mother and Sister so true to her faith. To my cousins; her love will live within your hearts and your minds and always be there. She will never leave you and her memories will live on through you and your children. You know she will be praying to the Lord to strengthen your faith and someday we will meet up with her and my Mom (Mary) again. It took me a life time for me to realize what’s important in this life something Aunt Jane and my Mom (Mary) try to tell me and prayed for, but I wasn’t ready to listen in my youth; “Faith in Jesus” I finally got the message. My prayers are the same for you.

Ann, Sharon, Tony and Joey some of my fondest memories are playing with you as kids when I stayed at Grandma in the old North End!

You have my deepest sympathy!

Love your Cousin,

Bernie

Dear Chris and Family,

Your Mom was incredible. I remember when we would walk home after school from St Francis. We had such a large group walking home but your mom always made sure everyone got home. Those were great days.
I lost my Mom five years ago and part of me is empty but I know she is in a better place. Our Mom's will be watching over all of us.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love,

I often thought about Aunt Janie, in my life as I was remembering my mother and how much I was missing everyone since her death, Aunt Janie always had a Warm Caring blanket that would surround her, and her beautiful smile that would wrap you in love, she was another mother with a Golden heart. And always had such huge kindness in her heart who loved our Lord with all that she had and was. Her spirit that dwelled in her body GLOWED with love for her God and family and all who had met her in this earthly life and now she is giving God all her Praises right before her very eyes. How Blessed is she to have been picked so soon to see her Father!Just think, she is still at Heavens gates being welcomed by all her loved ones up there, wow she is now in a new life where there is no fear, saddness, only love, peace, rejoicing! In Romans 6 vs22 it says:But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God,you have your fruit to holliness, and the end,Everlasting Life! Amen. Wow she has everlasting life! with our Lord Jesus Christ! what more could you ask for such a wonderful Mother that God had blessed you with for so many years! God is truely Good. I can say I understand the pain of loosing a mother, its no easy task, and after all this time it still continues to hurt, but I know now there is no other place I'd rather wish my mother to be than with the love of her life Jesus Christ and with her family she once mourned and loved, what a surprise she had when Aunt Janie knocked on those Golen Gates and Jesus gathering her family to come and embrace her with all love.

Grandma, you were the best example of Jesus I have ever known. I was blessed to have you as my grandma. You have taught me so much with your servants heart, your unselfishness, humility and most of all your love for Jesus. I have so many great memories of being at your home when you used to babysit me.... and even more when I lived with you. I never knew how you went to sleep so late, and then got up so early just to get us all up..... Then you would cook us breakfast and of course coffee!! Thank you for never giving up on any of us ~ and ALL your prayers! I am going to miss your cooking, nobody cooks like U!! You are best! I LOVE YOU!! Till I see you again... Amy
