Janet Rose Obituary
09/21/1947 - 12/17/2020
Janet M. Rose passed away peacefully December 17, 2020. She was born in Toledo on September 21, 1947. Janet was a graduate of Central Catholic high school 1965. She moved to orange county California, attended California State College Long Beach making the Dean's honor list.
Returning to Toledo she worked at Saint Vincent's Hospital as a nurse's aid and unit clerk, helping the sick for 24 years. During that time she returned to college at university of Toledo, graduating in 1991. With a strong desire to help the mentally ill she became a licensed social worker and began working at the Zeph center as a intensive care case manager, helping the worst afflicted stay healthy, continuing that work for 11 years.
Janet had a lifelong spiritual devotion, she was fiercely independent, had a rebel spirit, and an adventurous side from hot air ballooning to white water rafting, was a lover of animals and had many pets over the years, loved to read and learn. Janet persevered beyond life's challenges.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Grace Rose (Miller). She is survived by sister, Caris (Donald) Eisel; brothers, Robert and James Rose; nephews, Benjamin (Erica) Eisel, Joseph Eisel; and nieces, Kristin (Kenny) Schank, Sara (Jake) Pennington.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, services for Janet will be held in private.

As a little girl I remember Janet's great sense of dry humor. She was kind to a fault. I see she went on to live her life well. We attended St. John's and then CCHS together. Sorry for her loss.
