Janet Lorraine (Brinley) 1930-2013
Janet, 82, passed away at Parkcliffe Community, Friday January 4, 2013.
Born to James R. and Jean A. Brinley in Walbridge, Ohio. Graduated from Maumee High School in 1948. Married the love of her life Stanley G. Walker June 30, 1948. They owned and operated Jan-Stan Interiors from 1948-2000. A family run fabricating workroom for many of the interior decorating and design trades.
As her family grew she began mentoring the Jolly 4-H'ers with her mother and sister, lasting for over 25 years. Through her unselfish generosity she invested time and money in people, by providing a safe-haven in her home she helped those completely unrelated to her continue their education thus paying it forward before it was popular.
She was involved in the Soroptomist Society in the late 70's and early 80's and was involved in the Jeep Management Retirees Association from 1990 to 1999 serving many years as secretary.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her brother, James Brinley, and her sister, Karen Worster. She is survived by Denise (Tom) Adinaro, Debra (Maury) Remer, Stuart (Lynn) Walker, Jean Gaitten, Sheila Monica (Tim Arite), Krista (David) Luce, Joseph (Mari Teri) Adinaro, Cathi Adinaro, Lynn (Doug) Eshleman, Michelle Ferow, Jennifer Ferow (Jeff Gryzca), Dawn Ferow (Chris Hicks), Megan Ferow (Fred Johnson), Holly Walker, Misty (Michael) Mitra, Cameron Walker (Katie Pzyik), Annelisa Monica, James Gonzalez, Amanda (Tony) Gonzales, Isiah Gonzalez, Angelica Gonzalez (Daniel Pacheco), David Allen (Danielle) Luce, Cynthia (Brad) Wignall, and 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of many other friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43614, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, from 2-8 p.m. Rosary recitation at 7 p.m. Final visitation will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 2240 Castlewood Dr. Toledo, Ohio 43613, at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee, Ohio located near the Side Cut Park upper entrance on West Wayne.

Ma Walker was my guardian angel here on earth. I was one of the 'kids' she took into her home and for that I am forever grateful. She was patient, kind and giving to all. The Walker family members are in my thoughts and prayers. Love and Hugs!!! Cindy Brodbeck
