Janice R.

Janice R. Gauthier of Kenai, Alaska, passed away on June 25, 2013, after a brief illness. She was born December 18, 1945, to Jean and Roman Mielcarek in Toledo, OH where she lived until 1985, when she moved to Folly Beach, South Carolina. In 1993 after a visit to Alaska, she knew that was the place she was meant to be.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Jean Mielcarek; her husband, Michael Miles, and brother, Tom Mielcarek.

She is survived by sister, Robbi (Gary) Tingstad of Cypress, California; daughter, Beth Spohn of Toledo, Ohio; son, Brian (Rachel) Gauthier of Kasilof, Alaska, and grandson, Jeremy Fofrich of Toledo, Ohio.

There will be a private family service. Donations may be made in her name to the Peninsula Spay/Neuter Fund P.O. Box 1612, Soldotna, Alaska 99669.
