Jay Michael 1/31/69 - 3/28/14

Jay Michael Bahr, 45, died at his residence in Plymouth, Indiana. Jay was born on January 31, 1969, in Chicago, IL to John Wayne and Dona Rae (Greenwald) Bahr. Jay was a 1987 graduate of Notre Dame High School for Boys in Niles, IL. Jay was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church. Jay worked for over 20 years as a Public Administrator working in Economic Development.

Mr. Bahr is survived by his children, Mary Rose, Agnes Ruth, and Francis Xavier Bahr; their mother, Elaine Bahr; his brother, Jeff Bahr; his sister, Carol Rae Lucarelli, and his parents, John and Dona, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are

invited to call upon Jay's family on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Peinert Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd., Waterville, OH. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church 104 W. Broadway, Maumee, OH.

Memorial donations in Jay's memory are encouraged to the Open Door Ministry 2823 Cherry St., Toledo, OH. 43608. A fund is also being collected for Jay's children.

When Jay came to Waterville you could tell he cared about his family and especially his children. He was proud of his wife's talent in making chocolates of which he delivered to all of us on Council.

Sending prayers to Jay's loved ones. God will never leave us or forsake us, and even now is holding Jay close. Jay was a pleasure to work with in Toledo as he excelled as a business advocate, and in leveraging resources for business retention/expansion. I knew Jay only from volunteer work I did at Open Door. He came to a lot of meetings. We had a lot in common and he helped me stay sober. I am out of the country or I would certainly pay my respects at the funeral home.
