To Martha and the Edwards Family, I was saddened to hear of Jesse's passing. We were "choir buddies" when we sang in the Toledo Mass Choir. He had such a powerful Tenor voice and a friendly personality. My condolescences and prayers are with you all.

Jesse will always be loved and remembered. He was an "adjunct" member of our family. We had lots of fun together and we have plenty of fond memories. Rest in God's hands. Your other family - The Andersons and Alma, Richard and Willie.

Geneva, Martha, Della, Leroy and Freddie, my children and myself will always have fond memories of Jessie. I first met Jessie when he came to my house with his cousins, Reggie and Martha. We had just moved here from West Virginia, Jessie and Patrice was at Scott High School, our friendship lasted down through the years. Upon joining the Indiana Avenue Missionary Bpt. Church, I was blessed to meet the rest of the family, Jessie and I sang together with the Derrick Roberts Ensemble. Jessie was a loving, quiet spirit gentleman, often he would make sure that I had a way home, he was like a son. Our prayers go out to the entire family, and we trust that you'll rejoice always in Jessie's beautiful memories. God bless you all.

My prayers are extended to the Edwards family. Not only will the IAMBC Mass Choir and Brian Thomas Chorale not be the same without him, but the Toledo Interfaith Mass Choir for the time he was in it will not be the same. A very soft-spoken man who was kind and would help out anyway he could. Going to miss Jesse very much and also miss his voice. Going to also miss Jesse for his wonderful smile he always he had.

My long-standing singing buddy. You anchored all those tenor sections with your dependable correctness and enthusiasm. It has been my distinct pleasure to sing beside you, for you understood what it means to give all you have; withholding nothing. You will be deeply missed...until we meet again!
