Celebrating the Life of Larry Allen Young Sr.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father. He left this world on January 25, 2026, peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, February 25th, 1943. He attended Scott and Rogers High Schools. He married Sharon (Snyder) on December 14th, 1963. They renewed their vows several times during their 57 years, until her passing in 2020.
He worked at Wonder Bread bakery for 15 years until its closing in Toledo in 1982. He also worked for George Biniker Wooden Pallets until his retirement after 30 years. He was a past Deacon of Collingwood Presbyterian Church and became a Master Mason in Paragon Lodge #788 in 2007.
Above all, Dad treasured his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of his world. Whether it was bowling with his daughter or going on vacations, he was always surrounded by family.
He is survived by his sister Norma Ray (Tootie); sister-in-law, Arlene(James) LaPlante; children, Larry (Jessica) Young Jr., Sondra Young, and Bruce(Mary) Young Sr.; grandchild, Bruce (Tiffaney)Young Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jonathon and Jack; and many dear friends and relatives.
